Prescription Delivery FAQs

No.  The service is FREE for deliveries within a 10 mile radius of your Total Health Care pharmacy. If you miss your initial delivery and would like us to re-deliver your prescription, there will be a $5.00 re-delivery fee.

You can place a prescription delivery request in person or by phone with your preferred Total Health  Care pharmacy. (See the location listings on this page for your preferred location’s contact information.)

We’ll also give you a courtesy call for all medications not picked up within 7 days to see if you would like us to deliver it. Unclaimed prescriptions will be returned to stock to be re-dispensed at a later time when you want it.

If a patient is not home for a requested delivery, the delivery driver will bring the prescription back to the pharmacy at the end of his/her run, and the prescription will be available to be picked up by the customer or authorized representative.

If you prefer to have a second delivery attempt made, you will need to call the pharmacy and there will be a re-delivery fee of $5.00. Total Health Care pharmacy will not attempt a third delivery. If a second delivery is not completed, the prescription order will remain at the pharmacy to be picked up.

All Total Health Care pharmacies locations will offer delivery services starting spring 2019.  We are piloting this delivery service currently at the Division Street location.  Please note that some exceptions may apply.

Your pharmacy will share your full name, delivery address and phone number with the courier for delivery purposes only. To protect patient privacy, no other personal information or prescription information will be displayed on the tamper-evident delivery packaging.

We offer free delivery to your home or a location of your choice within a 10 mile radius of the pharmacy. Deliveries outside this 10 mile radius will be at a cost.

For prescriptions with co-pay, our delivery service is able to accept all types of payments at the time of delivery. You can also pay the fee at checkout when you request delivery over the phone via credit card or we can send you a bill in the mail. Please note that when paying cash, exact payment is required as drivers do not carry change.

We can deliver to your home or selected residence regardless of whether you are present, provided there is someone available to sign for the medication at the time of delivery.  Please note that an authorized agent must be present to sign a “proof of delivery” handheld electronic unit or back-up paper manifest to indicate receipt of delivery. A prescription delivery cannot be left without obtaining a signature.
